First, breathe in and out a few times. We could all use it. Next, we called our business Weirder Wonderland because we think the world will be richer, more peaceful, and more humane when we all get to fully be ourselves, as long as we don't violate other people's rights to be safe and whole.
Right now, a lot of people we love are fearing for their rights, safety, and wholeness. We want to say unequivocally that trans and gender nonconforming people of all ages are deserving of the same rights, protection, support, and pursuit of joy we all expect. If you feel unclear about trans rights, gender-affirming care, pronouns, or related issues, and have good-faith questions, we would love to talk with you. Feel free to reach out here, through our social media, or say hi about town. We love you, our community in Kalamazoo and beyond. We love our trans friends and family. When we build a weirder wonderland and stretch our understanding of what's normal, everyone is safer, freer, and more whole.
Let's get weirder.
